Vietnam is entering a new phase in the development of its financial market, as the establishment of the Vietnam International Financial Center (VIFC) and the advancement of green finance become strategic priorities of the National Assembly and the Government. At the same time, to deliver on its commitment to achieving Net Zero by 2050, Vietnam is estimated to need approximately USD 700 billion to finance its green transition.

Against this backdrop, the question is no longer whether Vietnam can attract green capital, but what conditions the market needs to put in place for that capital to actually be deployed.
